Circuit Tech’s engineers will work closely with your teams to ensure that your flex / rigid-flex PCBs are manufactured to your critical specifications while meeting the highest IPC workmanship standards.
Due to the growing complexity of design structures, high-density circuit boards (HDI) are being used more and more, especially in todays high-tech products. As these products increase in functionality and decrease in size and weight, circuit board engineers need new solutions to maximize space on each board. Blind and buried vias, vias-in-pad and microvias of .006 or less in diameter, with higher circuitry density than traditional circuit boards add complexity to the design, but let you do more with less. Circuit Tech Inc. has continuously focuses on these advanced technologies.
High competency to manufacture PCBs with multiple layers, in both sequential or core build fabrication. PCBs can be a multitude of layer count, but rely on traditional drilling and plating technology.
· Multilayer up to 40+ layers
· Vast range of laminate options including high temperature, low loss and lead-free laminates
· Mixed dielectric (hybrid) constructions

Making innovation part of each individual’s job responsibility, employees are encouraged to look for the ‘value’ in everything we do and how this value may impact our customers.
Designed For Manufacturing
In order to assure PCB reliability and reduce potential issues during manufacturing, Circuit Tech Inc. adopts the board design verification process as a fully automated application that augments the extensive manual checking of PCB design / layout. The Frontline PCB Solutions InPlan performs qualitative and quantitative analysis on all designs prior to releasing data for manufacturing. The integration of Genesis into our Design for Manufacturer (DFM) and Design for check (DRC) procedure provides accurate information that is relayed to our customer and results in a decrease in revision changes, an improvement in PCB reliability and manufacturing yields. The software application has high level of automation that is key in providing maximum levels of repeatability into our processes.
NetList Comparison
Added Quality Control
A netlist is a list of components (i.e. Integrated circuits, resistors, capacitors etc.) and all interconnections. When an IPC-D-356 or Mentor neural file is supplied with Gerber format design files a comparison between the two is made to assure that it corresponds to the schematic. This comparison provides an extra layer of certainty the completed PCB will function as intended in the original design.
Tighter Tolerance
Circuit Tech Inc. uses software from Polar Instruments and Frontline PCB Solutions InPlan to model a wide range of impedance requirements on a broad selection of laminate types.
The demand for high quality controlled impedance continues to grow in speeds of modern PCB design circuitry. Current PCB technology is not just simple electrical interconnection devices; they are highly complex, specific electronic components in their own applications. As the requirement of controlled impedance PCBs has increased, there has been a subsequent increase demand in requirements to verify these board designs prior to production.
High speed PCB performance designs require accurate controlled impedance traces to operate reliably
What is IST Testing?
Interconnect Stress Test (IST) is an accelerated stress test method used to evaluate the integrity of the Printed Circuit Board (PCB) interconnect structure. It’s an objective test whose results are timely, repeatable, reproducible, and unique. Circuit Tech Inc. utilizes IST testing as a tool to measure the reliability and repeatability of our process. PWB Interconnect creates a thermal cycle that stresses a specifically designed coupon, while simultaneously monitoring the electrical integrity of plated through holes (PTHs) and internal interconnects (Posts). It’s a test method that measures the integrity of different areas of the same structure — IST tests the PTHs and the Posts at the same time. IST automatically produces data that can help determine the PCBs ability to withstand the rigors of assembly, rework and the end use environment. IST gives a critical evaluation of a board’s quality and insight to the possible modes of failure. IST is an IPC approved (TM-650 2.6.26) test method; it’s experiencing rapidly growing acceptance by most major OEMs, CEM and PCB manufacturers as a definitive method for the measurement of PCB interconnect integrity. If you require confirmation of high long term reliability IST testing is your best choice.
